Privacy policy

• Your account: name, username, email, phone number, city, LinkedIn link, Instagram handle, bio and the kinds of nights you like. Hosts also give their organisation.
• Your profile, if you fill it in: photos, birthday (we only ever show your age), gender, profession, study, hobbies, prompt answers and favourite songs.
• Your selfie check: three photos taken with your camera (see below).
• What you do here: tickets and bookings, UPI payment screenshots, check-ins at the door, Drops, likes, comments, Plans, saved events and reports.
• The phone you use the app on, if you allow notifications (a push token, so we can send them).

To keep fake and spam accounts out, new members take three quick selfies in set poses. Your phone or browser checks the poses itself; the photos are then stored privately with us. Only Droppyn founders see your selfie photos, to approve your account. They are never shown on your profile or to other members, and never used for anything else. We keep them while your account exists, and they are deleted with it.

• Profiles (photos, basics, hobbies, prompts, music, past nights) are visible only to signed-in members. They are not public and not shown to search engines.
• Your phone number is shown only to the host of an event you booked, and a host's number only to their ticket holders. Every such view is logged.
• Drops and comments are seen by other members.
• Payment screenshots and selfies are seen only by Droppyn founders.
• We never sell your data or show you third-party ads.

• Supabase (database and sign-in, hosted in Mumbai).
• Cloudflare (our API, photo storage, and the bot check on sign-up and sign-in).
• Hostinger (hosting this website).
• Zoho ZeptoMail (sign-in and account emails).
• Expo and Firebase (delivering app notifications).

The selfie check downloads Google's open MediaPipe face model to your device; your photos are not sent to Google.

We remove hidden details from every photo you upload, such as the location and camera, before storing it. A photo you replace or remove is deleted from storage.

You can change most of your details yourself on your profile. To get a copy of your data, or to delete your account and everything in it (including your selfie photos), email admin@droppyn.com. We do it within 30 days.
